How It Works

This tool compares your 3D model's bounding box against your printer's build volume to determine if the model will fit on the print bed.

Fit Check

The checker compares each axis of the model against the corresponding printer bed dimension:

• Width (X): Model X must be ≤ Bed X
• Depth (Y): Model Y must be ≤ Bed Y
• Height (Z): Model Z must be ≤ Bed Z

Rotation Suggestions

If your model doesn't fit in its current orientation, the tool automatically evaluates all possible 90° rotations:

• XY swap — Rotate 90° around Z axis (swap width and depth)
• XZ swap — Rotate 90° around Y axis (stand model on its side)
• YZ swap — Rotate 90° around X axis (tilt model forward/back)

The tool reports which rotations would allow the model to fit, along with the resulting dimensions and remaining clearance.

Bed Utilization

The utilization percentage shows how much of the bed area your model's footprint occupies. Lower utilization means more room for additional parts or supports.
